Songs of Albinor No. 5
"Skarda's Castle"

By Marcus Pan

Skarda's Castle, old and dead,
Lies atop a great hill.
In the Broken Lands, filled with dread,
It yields to Mother's will.

Fell and deadly,
Noone goes.
Death's shrieking melody,
Of lamenting crows.

Of those that walked,
Through the open gates.
Not one talked,
Nor even escaped.

But there is one man,
Who delved in deep.
As far as he can,
Into the castle he creeped.

He was forced back out,
But lived to tell,
Of his great bout,
With death's great spell.

His story sounds,
Through the dires.
In every town,
And every shire.

The only one,
Who did not die.
And saw the sun,
Once again shine.

Karnack's his name,
From Threshold he heralds.
Earning great fame,
His deeds never trebled.
