Songs of Albinor No. 8

By Marcus Pan

Pierc'ed by the shaft of love,
Dis rides on to Enna's vale.
Proserpine his vision spies,
And wants her love without fail.

In his arms with her he rides,
His mighty steeds bear them on.
His trident strikes the earth's ground,
To a land without a dawn.

Beside Dis she sits as queen,
In lands of eternal toil.
Across the land Ceres looks,
But she lies beneath the soil.
