Unrest

By Shadowrunner

At night I can not rest,
Due to my mind's unrest,
I unravel before my eyes,
And I slowly realize,
That I am not who I used to be.

During the day,
The price I pay,
Is far greater than I thought,
And this thing I crave can't be bought,
Nor can I try to keep my pride,
For no longer can I hide,
This thing I require.

A desire or need,
With a warning I don't heed,
For I no longer care,
Blinded by the glare,
Of nothing I've seen before,
And something I crave for,
More and more.
