Eternity

The silver globe dances around
The third stone from the sun
All we know and all we are
Encompasses all we've done
Eternity sits and watches
A being with knowledge of all
Yet never the one to intervene
Be it stand or fall
As we let out a primal scream
Our animal blood runs deep
The ancestral urge has been suppressed
We pray our soul to keep
Venomous anger, peaceful bliss
We battle love and hate
Freely giving of the things
With which we seal our fate
And when the fires have burned away
And dusk has taken dawn
Eternity will engulf all we do
And still he will watch on
