Dawning

I can't believe they're here. All my life I ignored
them, refusing to admit they even existed. Carelessly wandering in
my own little world. The naïve innocence could only be described
as intoxicating. Day by day
Year by year, Now I
understand. A little older, But not much wiser. The hard times,
The responsibility, The realization that it's time to grow up
They're all here now. Still, I wander
aimlessly. And it's
still refreshing. As my colorful youth. Well
not quite
