Press Release The Spot to Host Legends Night
August 20, 1997
Legends Magazine editor Marcus Pan and
DJ Lady Bathory of Boston club The Spot will present a night dedicated to the
promotion of Legends Magazine and Pans related works. The exact date has
not yet been set, but it will take place in the month of October, 1997 between
the middle and end of the month.
The Spot is a Massachusetts dance club located at 1270
Boylston, Boston, Massachusetts. Legends will be promoted at their weekly show,
Ceremony, featuring gothic and industrial dance music. The age
requirement to enter the club is 18 years. DJ Mothra will spin industrial dance
and Lady Bathory spins gothic throughout the night. Lady Bathory has been
trying to do a zine promotion event once a month for the Ceremony show she
DJs, stated Marcus Pan. Legends Magazine will be the second
or third zine to be invited to do such an event and I was originally invited to
do it in September. However, I felt the Alt.Gothic Special Issue set to debut
in October of this year would be more appropriate for her audience, and we
agreed to schedule the event for October.
promotional materials he will have on hand. He will be
available to talk with any club goers interested in submitting to the magazine
or order subscriptions. All those interested in gothic/industrial music and/or
Legends Magazine is invited to the event. For directions to The Spot or other
information about Ceremony, you may contact Lady Bathory via her electronic
mail address at cusraque@tiac.net. For information on Legends Magazine and
related material, feel free to contact editor Marcus Pan via his electronic
mail address at pan@idt.net. Pan can also be contacted by writing to Marcus
Pan, P.O. Box 266, S. Boundbrook, NJ, 08880.
It will be a pleasure to finally meet and work with
Lady Bathory on this, said Pan. And I hope that a number of people
that I speak to on a regular basis in newsgroups and other Internet media are
able to make the event. This will be my first club promotion for Legends
Magazine, and Im looking forward to it. Pan also stated that the
October date, once properly set, will be publicized as soon as possible for
anyone interested in attending the event.
