Editor's Notes

I’ve been very unmotivated and uninspired lately. I think I’m just stressed out from something or other. I haven’t quite put my finger on what it is, but it’s probably a combination of a whole bunch of different things. First off, I’m smack dab in the middle of a huge project…the Legends Archive Project. I’ve mentioned it before, but this time I can say with some authority, yet in a meek little shoot me I’m going fucking insane voice, that it is underway. Oh, don’t get me wrong. There’s still plenty to go. I stopped in the middle of laying out the second editions of Legends 7-10 just so I can put together this issue, though I will admit it is a little late. But it happens sometimes and you should be happy that I’m at least keeping my promise of getting it out and not skipping this month to keep moving on the archive project. If you’d like to see what scan-man Dan and I have done thus far, just check out Legends Online (http://www.zenweb.com/pan/legends) because issues 1-6 and 66-71 are already up and available. Full downloadable PDF files as promised, too. Anything under issue 66 is going to be a reprint of older issues previously available only on hardcopy and, in many instances, written in long hand. Yes, really. I used to hand write this thing. There was a time when it took all month…two weeks or so to ready articles for an issue and two weeks or so to actually write it. I used to have a writer’s callous on my middle finger the size of Daryl Strawberry’s tumor (booo…hisss….bad joke!). However, as I said things are moving. I plan on having Legends No. 7-10 up shortly on the web site as I received those image scans from Dan today (oh…it’s 12:30…yesterday rather). I also have other projects going as well.

Well, that’s all I really have to say about things right now. Like I said…unmotivated, uninspired and generally feeling like I should shut myself up in my room for at least a few days and not come out. Either that or just sleep a lot this weekend. But then again, I can’t…I have a lot to do.
